Refund Policy (and why NannyPod cannot offer refunds)

From time to time, families enquire to us about a refund. Please note we cannot offer any refunds as there is work involved as soon as you register. Thank you for your understanding, we greatly appreciate it. Please see below for a more comprehensive understanding as to why refunds are not possible for several reasons, thank you.

Subscription Refunds

  • During your subscription time, we do a considerable amount of work behind the scenes to help you find childcare providers. This may include but is not limited to creating custom job links, posting the job link on social media platforms, filtering candidates and sending you applicants who have applied.

  • Your subscription fees help us cover the costs we incur to run our platform efficiently.

  • If you paid a background check fee, this helps us cover the costs and time we incur to background check childcare providers such as sitters, nannies and infant care providers. It also shows a commitment to safety.

  • When you first register with NannyPod as a family, you agree to our Terms and Conditions which states that we do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

  • The subscription membership cancellation policy is listed on all receipts; It is also listed on our website and in our Terms and Conditions, and when you elect the purchase of the subscription.

  • In addition to the above, NannyPod incurs fees to process a refund by our merchant processor. This is another reason why we cannot offer refunds. 

Booking Fee Refunds

  • Unfortunately we cannot offer these either. If in the rare occurrence a childcare provider does not arrive, we suggest reaching out to them to see what happened. Thank you.

The dynamics of finding and providing childcare are not binary, there are many variables involved. In order for families to receive safe reliable childcare, by background checked sitters and nannies, we created the above policies. We feel it creates a fair playing field. Thank you. 

Our policies are for the benefit of all parties involved including all families, sitters, nannies, infant care providers and naturally our company NannyPod. We do truly appreciate all of our clientele and hope the above helps you understand the ways we function.
